International Netherlands: The New Zealand Reserve Bank's deviation from its easing policy stance is "obviously Favourable Information" for the New Zealand dollar.

On May 28, ING analyst Francisco Pessole pointed out in a report that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand was cautious about future interest rate cuts at Wednesday's meeting, and the New Zealand dollar may extend its rally. RBNZ Chief Economist Paul Conway and Governor Christian Hawksby are also cautious about further rate cuts. Pessole said the RBNZ's deviation from its accommodative stance was a "clear positive" for the NZD.
