According to foreign media analysis reports, the British pound may react to the speech of Bailey, the Governor of the Bank of England, next Saturday, especially if he provides guidance on the possibility of another interest rate cut by the Bank of England in September. Bailey will deliver a speech at 03:00 on August 24 at the Jackson Hole Symposium hosted by the Federal Reserve in Wyoming. If Bailey suggests that the Bank of England may cut interest rates again as early as next month, the pound may weaken; if he indicates that it is more likely to hold steady, the pound may strengthen. The market believes that the probability of a rate cut by the Bank of England on September 19 is 43%. The UK inflation rebounded but was lower than expected, stimulating expectations of an interest rate cut.
