Musk calls for a fresh election in the UK

On January 2, Musk called for a new British election, which is the latest sign that the incoming Trump administration may become a thorn in the side of British Prime Minister Starmer's government. Musk published a series of posts criticizing British policy on the X platform. He questioned Starmer's record as Britain's attorney general before entering politics, called for the release of far-right demagogue Tommy Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon), and said that "only" Nigel Farage's British Reform Party could "save" Britain. Musk is not just following Starmer, he has repeatedly criticized the left-leaning government led by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and supported the anti-immigration AfD party ahead of the snap elections next February.
