On May 23, according to The Block, just hours before President Trump hosted a luxurious dinner for major TRUMP coin holders, U.S. Democratic leader Congresswoman Maxine Waters introduced a new bill aimed at addressing concerns over the President's involvement in digital assets, calling for an end to "Crypto Assets Corruption." Waters and 14 other Democratic co-sponsors introduced the "Stop Trading, Retention, and Unfair Market Payoffs in Crypto Act of 2025" on Thursday afternoon. The bill aims to prohibit the President, Vice President, members of Congress, and their immediate family members from "holding a proportion of digital assets sufficient to allow them to unilaterally change digital assets," along with other related provisions.
